If you love the classic appearance of a Garrard in a wooden plinth, our new SMD Acoustics Classic could be just what youre looking for.
Drawing on principles developed through our two-tier Reference plinth range, it combines a solid oak surround and traditional dovetail joints with a substantial 20mm British slate top plate. Sorbothane decoupling and internal acoustic damping help control unwanted vibration and resonance, addressing the weaknesses of traditional hollow-box designs.
Available for the Garrard 301 or 401, each plinth includes a bespoke aluminium arm plate for your chosen tonearm, adjustable stainless steel feet and an IEC mains socket. Most 9 to 12 arms can be accommodated, and an optional dust cover completes the installation.
