Hana Umami Red Moving Coil Cartridge
Hand-built in Japan by Excel Sound, the Hana Umami Red combines precision cartridge engineering with a distinctive red Urushi lacquer finish.
Its nude Microline diamond stylus is mounted on a solid boron cantilever to trace fine groove information. The cryogenically treated generator uses a samarium-cobalt magnet, a square armature and hand-wound, high-purity copper coils.
The Auricle™ body is machined from A7075 Duralumin and incorporates an ebony wood inlay for resonance damping. Threaded mounting holes simplify installation, while the supplied stylus guard protects the cantilever when not in use.
Its 0.4 mV output requires a suitable MC phono stage or compatible step-up arrangement.
