The Alphason HR-200S Reference Tonearm represents the latest evolution of Alphason's highly regarded HR series, combining innovative materials, precision engineering and meticulous hand assembly to deliver exceptional analogue performance.

Building upon the legacy of the celebrated HR-100S, the HR-200S introduces significant advances in structural rigidity, resonance control and bearing technology, creating an exceptionally stable platform from which a high-quality phono cartridge can retrieve the finest musical detail.

At the heart of the design is a one-piece titanium arm tube and advanced composite headshell assembly. This sophisticated construction offers outstanding stiffness while minimising unwanted vibration and resonance. According to Alphason, the headshell is four times more structurally rigid than its predecessor and absorbs over 90% of unwanted vibrational energy.

The result is a tonearm designed to preserve the natural tonal character of recordings, allowing subtle musical textures, dynamic contrasts and spatial information to emerge with exceptional clarity.

Precision Ceramic Bearing Technology

The HR-200S incorporates bespoke, ultra-rigid ceramic bearings manufactured to exceptionally close tolerances.

Designed with zero clearance, these bearings provide precise and consistent movement, helping the cartridge accurately follow the record groove while minimising unwanted mechanical interference.

Advanced Internal Wiring

High-purity, single-crystal OCC wiring runs continuously from the cartridge to Alphason's proprietary Pin-Jack connection.

By minimising unnecessary connections and maintaining low capacitance and inductance, this arrangement is designed to preserve delicate low-level signals and maximise transparency, resolution and dynamic expression.
